As we reach the midpoint of the year, we’re excited to share several important updates from our team. This semester has been full of meaningful connections, new opportunities, and exciting recognition for SSA Education Abroad.
Over the past few months, our team has attended key international education events, visited campuses across the United States, and connected with partners, faculty, advisors, and students. We’re also proud to share that SSA Abroad was named a finalist in two categories of the GoAbroad Awards.
In addition, we’re expanding our academic portfolio with three new program offerings for the 2026–2027 academic year.

Being named a finalist in this category reflects the support of our broader community and our continued commitment to delivering meaningful, high-quality study abroad experiences.
We’re grateful to our students, partners, and team members who continue to help bring the SSA mission to life.
SSA Education Abroad is excited to introduce three new programs designed to support evolving academic interests and student needs.
This new program gives students the opportunity to explore health practices in Panama through a cross-cultural lens. With a focus on healthcare systems, community health, and applied learning, this program is especially relevant for students interested in pre-health, nursing, public health, biology, and related fields. Coursework available in English and Spanish. The program includes observational visits to health clinics and hospitals.
Located in one of Spain’s most historic and culturally significant cities, this program offers students an immersive experience in Spanish language, culture, literature, and history. The program also connects students with the rich legacy of the Camino de Santiago. The students walk 100 km to experience the Camino, with the mentorship of university professors and cultural guides.
Our new Buenos Aires program invites students to engage with one of Latin America’s most vibrant cultural and academic centers. Students will explore topics such as Latin American studies, politics, society, arts, music, and language in a dynamic urban setting. Coursework in both English and Spanish. Service-learning opportunities for credit are available.
This semester, our team has been actively connecting with the international education community through conferences, campus visits, and partner meetings.
SSA Education Abroad attended both The Forum and NAFSA 2026, where our team had the opportunity to connect with colleagues, share program updates, discuss trends in education abroad, and strengthen relationships with institutional partners.
These events continue to be important spaces for collaboration, innovation, and conversation around the future of study abroad.
Our team has also been visiting universities across the United States to meet with study abroad offices, faculty, advisors, and students.
These visits allow us to present SSA program options, answer questions in person, support student outreach, and continue building strong institutional relationships.
