Program Overview

The Gap Year in Seville program offers U.S. high school seniors an enriching opportunity to spend a semester or full year abroad after graduation. This program is designed to help students develop essential academic skills and broaden their global perspectives before they begin their freshman year of college or university.

With a curriculum that includes courses taught in both English and Spanish, the program is suitable for students at all language proficiency levels. Additionally, students can earn transferable college credits through Heidelberg University, which facilitates the transfer of credits to their home institutions.

In this program, students can choose coursework from the SSA Center and the Universidad Pablo de Olavide. 

Courses at the SSA Center are taught by SSA faculty for SSA students only. These courses are designed for study abroad students with smaller class sizes and are offered in a variety of disciplines.

Courses at the Universidad Pablo de Olavide are offered for students looking to take coursework in English in a variety of disciplines alongside locals and other international students.
